Chocolate Skillet Brownies
Fudgy cast-iron brownies with crisp edges.

Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup toasted pecans, optional
- Flaky salt
- Vanilla ice cream
Instructions

Heat the oven or smoker to 350°F and butter a 12-inch cast-iron skillet.

Melt butter, remove from heat and whisk in sugar. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.

Fold in cocoa, flour and salt just until no dry streaks remain. Stir in chocolate chips and optional pecans.

Spread in the skillet and bake 28–34 minutes, until the edges are set and a tester near the center has moist crumbs.

Finish with flaky salt and cool 15 minutes. Serve warm wedges with ice cream.
