Smoked Sausage
Snappy smoked sausage lacquered with tangy barbecue sauce.

Ingredients
- 2 lb fully cooked smoked sausage links
- ½ cup Dillightful BBQ Sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp dill pickle juice
- 1 tsp spicy mustard
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tbsp oil
Instructions

Heat the smoker to 275°F with hickory or pecan. Score the sausage shallowly every inch without cutting through.

Toss onion and pepper with oil and place them in a grill basket beneath or beside the sausage.

Smoke the sausage for 35–45 minutes, turning once, until the surface darkens and the center reaches 165°F.

Mix barbecue sauce, brown sugar, pickle juice and mustard. Brush the links and cook 10–15 minutes until tacky.

Slice on a bias and serve over the smoked peppers and onions with extra sauce.
