Ultimate Kansas City Burger
A stacked backyard burger with smoky sauce and pickle crunch.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb 80/20 ground beef
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp coarse black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 4 brioche buns
- 4 slices sharp cheddar
- ½ cup Dillightful BBQ Sauce
- ½ cup crispy fried onions
- ½ cup dill pickle chips
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 2 tbsp softened butter
Instructions
- 1
Divide the beef into four loose 6-ounce portions and form patties slightly wider than the buns. Press a shallow dimple in each center.
- 2
Mix salt, pepper and garlic and season both sides just before cooking. Heat a grill or cast-iron griddle to high heat.
- 3
Cook 3–4 minutes on the first side without pressing. Flip, add cheddar and cook to 160°F for ground-beef safety.
- 4
Butter and toast the buns. Mix mayonnaise with mustard and spread it over the bottom buns.
- 5
Build with the cheeseburgers, Dillightful BBQ Sauce, pickle chips and crispy onions. Serve immediately with extra sauce.
